If you are interested in becoming a referree for our lower-levels of recreational play, the club regularly holds small-sided referree training classes. This is a great opportunity for young players to join the referee ranks, and earn a bit of money along the way. If you would like more information about becoming a small-sided referee, please email the club's VP of Competition at: comp@sksoccer.com.

Registration Instructions for 2024 Small-Sided Referees:

 

(NOTE: If you are currently a player signed up under your parents.  You WILL need to establish a account for yourself)

How to do the Back Ground Check and required certificates

Step by Step Instructions to completing certificates. Click HERE

Step 1:

 

Click the above button to go to the WYS/Affinity Background Check site.

  1. Click on Registration

  2. Select Season Fall 2024

  3. Login if returning or create an account if new

  4. Click Continue

  5. Click Register as Coach by your name under Registration

  6. Select Play level “Back Ground Check”

  7. Click the double down arrow   and upload your Safesports, Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificates if have not previously done so.

  8. Fill out the form and click all clubs you will be associated with.

  9. Click Save and Next

  10. Accept the ELA Boxes and click Agree & Continue

  11. Sign Name and Agree and Continue

  12. “Congratulations, registration is now complete!

Step 2: 

Click the above button to go to the Safesport site.  You will need to recertify annually, so make sure to save your login information and copies of your certificates.

Also remember that when building your Safe Sport Account to use the same name and email address that is on your Washington Youth Soccer Affinity Account (the one you used to do your background check).
 

  1. You should see a box appear with US Soccer listed as the organization, and an entry space for an access code.

  2. Enter the following access code: YC3E-6P5G-YYIL-CS2M

Step 5: Once complete return to the WYS/Affinity Background Check site in (Step 1 above) to upload your certificates. You must have certificates uploaded to complete your registration process.
