Age Group Formation

Led by US Soccer, the age group formation change was made based on critical feedback, data, and expert input to better align players with their school-grade peers and help increase participation. More information is available through Washington Youth Soccer (WYS) at the following links:

South Kitsap Soccer Club strongly recommends all players play true age per US Soccer. Requests to play up will be allowed for U9 players and up who played during the Fall 2025 season. Play up requests are not guaranteed and must be requested by June 1 for consideration. Micro teams (U8 and below) must play true age.

 

 

Play Up Requests: 

South Kitsap Soccer Club strongly recommends all players play true age per US Soccer. Requests to play up will be allowed for U9 players and up who played during the Fall 2025 season. Play up requests are not guaranteed and must be requested by June 1 for consideration. Micro teams (U8 and below) must play true age.

 

All players interested in playing up must first register for their true age division. Interested players must then submit a play up request in writing to the Rec Registrar (recregistrar@sksoccer.com) that must be approved by the Executive Board. If approved, the Rec Registrar will make the adjustment to the player’s division. Any change in registration fee due to an approved play up request must be submitted prior to the player being assigned to a team.
