School is out, you are registered to play soccer in the Fall - What should you be doing?
Get in shape, a little bit more every day, during summer by walking, jogging and running. The high school track is always open and available. Introduce sprinting, for very short bursts (seconds), after a few weeks. Always remember to drink lots of water, a few hours before you start exercising. Avoid heavy meals BEFORE you start (two hours roughly). Have more water and a light snack after you are done (within 15 to 30 minutes.
The game is about running and handling the ball with your feet.
So, using the right size ball, for your age, and spend at least an hour to two hours a day dribbling and juggling the ball. Visit the Coaches Corner or Goal Keeping pages and look at the videos to get an idea of what you can practice on your won or with a friend.
